The number of accidents involving bicycles and e-bikes is on the increase. From a distance, electrically powered bikes and speed pedelecs look like normal bicycles, but they go considerably faster. This leads to hazardous situations. The provincial authority is looking for smart solutions that will improve cycling safety. We are not looking for solutions involving the infrastructure (such as the widening of cycle paths) or speed limits, but instead want to have different solutions to the problem posed by the differences in the speeds travelled by cyclists.
