What is Startup in Residence?

Startup in Residence is a new way of connecting the City of The Hague and startups. Besides the ambition to connect and stimulate collaboration, the programme also aims to develop innovative solutions for the ‘wicked’ urban challenges the city faces. Startups with their out of the box thinking can develop innovative solutions for eight challenges and the City of The Hague can assist startups to finalize and perfect this solution. If the solutions are successful, the City of The Hague could act as launching customer.

The Urban Challenges

On April 18th the new “wicked problems” were announced. Startups are challenged to work with the Municipality on these problems:

Why join the program?

The selected startups are offered an intensive training programme, as well as the support of professional mentors. The startups will also be provided with working space and have access to the municipality’s network and events.

Do you have an innovative idea for The Hague? Apply now for Startup in Residence! The deadline for applications is 30 May 2017, Midnight.
