When will the registration be open?
You are welcome to register starting at 18:00 PM on Wednesday Februari 13th 2019.
What is the deadline for registration?
The deadline for registration April 1st 2019 (17:00 PM).
How do I apply?
You can find all the information about the application process here.
Does the application need to be written in English?
The application and presentation can be both in Dutch or English.
Do I need to have a Kamer van Koophandel (Chamber of Commerce) registration in order to apply for the programme?
Yes you need to be registered at the Chamber of Commerce.
Can my startup apply for more than one idea?
Yes, you can apply for as many challenges as you like, but note that you will have to fill in a new application form for each challenge.
I am a student, can I apply?
Yes, we encourage students to apply, but make sure you meet the overall requirements.
Do you have to be registered as a resident in the province Zuid-Holland to apply for the programme?
No, that’s not a requirement, but you should be able attend all the workshops. Once the province decides to purchase the product/service of the startup, it is a requirement that the company or a subsidiary of the company is registered in the Netherlands.
Does the startup remain owner of the product/service?
Yes, the startup remains 100% owner of the product/service.
Is Startup in Residence a subsidy program?
No, it is not.
Does the programme provide any kind of bursary or financial support regarding employment/housing throughout the incubation period?
No, the programme does not provide any kind of bursary or financial support for rent expenses or employees pay etc.
Can we get paid for the development of the product?
This is not the intention of the programme. However, if it’s beneficial for the development of the solution the province can decide to help the startup develop the product/solution.
Is it certain that the province Zuid-Holland becomes launching customer?
No, the province has the intention to become launching customer at the end of the programme, but it depends on the provided solution by the startup.
Are there any costs involved?
No, no costs are involved.
Is the startup programme full-time?
No, the programme will take about one day a week.
