Measuring cardiac rhythms with the camera of your smartphone? HappiTech has developed an app that makes this possible! Together with the OLVG hospital in Amsterdam and the Hartstichting, HappiTech hopes to collect at least 10.000 cardiac measurements, so the algorithms can be properly trained. The goal is to eventually clinically validate the anonymous results of the application, so it may help with the detection of cardiac arrhythmia in the future. For now, a campaign has been launched to invite Amsterdam residents to donate their heart rhythm. HappiTech will also be present at the Startup Amsterdam booth at The Next Web conference, so feel free to ask all your questions there.
