The Startup in Residence programme connects startups and scale-ups with key social challenges in Amsterdam. Founded in Amsterdam in 2015, the programme invites both Dutch and international entrepreneurs to tackle these challenges in collaboration with the local government. Their innovative solutions impact the City as well as its citizens.
The Programme offers startups an intensive training programme, as well as the support of professional coaches or mentors. The startups will also be provided with working space and have access to the municipality’s network.
The City of Amsterdam can significantly benefit a startup’s or scale-up’s prospects, by investing and/or becoming a launching customer or partner. We bring together a network of committed entrepreneurs, mentors, civil servants and partners which benefits both the City of Amsterdam and you. Come join one of our programmes!
In this sixth edition, Startup in Residence invites sustainable entrepreneurs to collaborate with the local government towards solving the cities challenges. The sustainability and mobility challenges cover a variety of topics including waste recycling, new energy sources, climate-proof city, etc. Add to that, we as a municipality, would like to become more innovative and sustainable. Find the complete list of selected start-ups here.
All questions asked at the info meetup are published on our website (FAQ page).
Startup in Residence is an initiative of StartupAmsterdam and the Chief Technology Office (CTO) of the City of Amsterdam, modelled on a similar programme in San Francisco.
