Startup in Residence is an innovative collaboration between startups and scaleups and the provincie Zuid-Holland. The programme invites both Dutch and international entrepreneurs to tackle 10 regional challenges in collaboration with the province. Our second edition will run from May 2019 until October 2019.
The programme offers startups a training programme and guidance from professional coaches. The startups will also enjoy full access to the province’s network and be provided with working space in our office in the Hague. If the solutions prove successful, the province can act as a launching customer. Learn more about our 2019 challenges!
Zuid-Holland offers an appealing location for innovation and startups. It is a compact area containing no fewer than 52 municipalities, 3 universities, and a strong business community. In this region, the province is uniquely equipped to work with startups to find effective solutions through collaboration. In our 2018 programme, we worked with 8 startups. You can read about their experiences here.
The challenges in our second programme cover topics like infrastructure, circular economy, climate adaptation, and much more. Find the complete list of challenges here. Applications are open from February 5th until April 1st!
To give startups a better understanding of the challenges, the province will organise one information meeting. This meeting will take place on March 22nd 2019 from 15:00 – 17:00 at the Provinciehuis in Den Haag.
If you wish to attend the information meetup, please sign up here. Startups are asked to communicate their interest in attending the information meeting before the March 21st 2019. The information meeting is optional and will take place only if there is sufficient interest.
